Step-by-Step Mentor Onboarding Process
Step 1: Access the Vygo Platform
- Download the Vygo Mobile Application: Available on Google Play Store or Apple App Store.
- Alternatively, access the Vygo Web application through your web browser.
Step 2: Register on the Platform
- Register Using Your University Credentials: To register on the platform, use your University's Single Sign-On (SSO) or email ID.
Step 3: Join a Program
- Select a Program: Join a program that suits your preferences.
- Answer the join questions to complete your registration for the program.
Step 4: Become a Mentor
- Select "Become a Mentor": After joining a specific program, select the dropdown menu and select the "Become a Mentor" option.
- Fill in Your Details:
- Profile Picture: Upload a recent headshot of yourself. This creates a positive first impression.
- Introduction Video (Optional): Record a short introduction video for yourself.
- Description: Add information about yourself, your skills, and how you can assist students. Keep the description within the 800-character limit.
- Availability: Specify your availability by selecting the days and hours you are free to accommodate student requests for one-on-one sessions or chat interactions.
- - Languages: Indicate the languages you are comfortable conversing in to ensure effective communication with students.
Step 5: Confirm and Finalise
- Update Profile: Select "Update Profile" after filling in your details.
- You will see a pop-up confirming your desire to become a mentor.
Agree to Terms and Conditions:
Answer any specific questions asked of mentors and agree to the terms and conditions if required by your university or program.
Approval:
- If your program is a closed program, your request to become a mentor may be subject to approval by the program manager.
- If approved, you will see a confirmation message indicating that you are now a mentor in the program.
