How to Use AI Chat Insights Summary (Program-Level Report)

Vygo’s AI Chat Insights Summary provides program-level administrators with a high-level overview of chat activity, helping uncover emerging themes, support gaps, and common questions across both one-to-one and group chats.

AI Chat Insights is only available to institutions with Vygo’s AI package. This feature must be enabled by the platform owner at your university. If you're unsure whether this feature is active for your institution, please contact your Vygo Partner Success Manager.

What Is the AI Chat Insights Summary?

This feature uses AI to analyse chat messages within a selected date range and generate a summary that includes:

  • Key themes from conversations.
  • Support gaps identified based on user queries.
  • Top member questions asked during the period.

These insights help staff better understand the needs of their students and inform program improvements.

How to Generate an AI Chat Insights Report

  1. Navigate to Your Program: Go to the program for which you’d like to generate a report.
  2. Access Insights: Click on the Insights tab.

  3. Open AI Chat Insights: Select the AI Chat Insights section.

    Select Date Range: Choose a pre-set or custom date range for the report.

    Generate the Report: Click Generate Report.

    • Note: The system requires at least 25 messages within the selected date range to create a valid report.
  4. Wait for Processing: The report may take up to a minute to generate. You can navigate away and return later to view it.

Understanding the Output

The report will include three core sections:

  • Themes: Common topics discussed.
  • Support Gaps: Areas where students may need more guidance.
  • Top Questions: Frequently asked questions during the selected time period.

You can copy the insights for use in internal documents or reporting.

Because this feature is currently in beta, you can rate the report output with a thumbs up or down. Your feedback helps us continuously improve the AI output.

Viewing Past Reports

All previously generated AI Chat Insights reports can be revisited by navigating to the same section and selecting the desired date range.
