What is limited program access for External Users?
Limited Program Access restricts external users so they can only view and access programs they have explicitly joined or been invited to.
This feature improves privacy and simplifies the experience for external participants by preventing access to unrelated programs within the organisation.
Who is Considered an External User?
External users are users who register with a non-institutional email address.
These roles are:
- Alumni
- Industry Experts
- Pre-arrival
How the Feature Works
- External users can only see:
- Programs they have joined
- Programs they have been invited to
- External users cannot:
- Browse all available programs
- Search for programs they are not part of
- Access restricted programs through direct links
- External users can only be invited via a program and can't be invited through the organisational level invitation.
If an external user attempts to access an unavailable program, they will receive an access restriction message.
Inviting External Users to Additional Programs
When an external user is invited to another program:
- They receive a program invitation
- The program becomes visible in their account
- They can accept the invitation and join the program
