How to create an Event on the Vygo platform?

Who Can Host an Event?

Program Managers have the ability to create and manage events within their institution’s Vygo program. If mentors wish to host an event, they must first receive approval from the Program Manager.

Steps to Create an Event

As a Program Manager, you can create events by following these steps:

STEP 1: Access the Events Tab

  • Click on Events in the top navigation bar.

STEP 2: Start Creating an Event

  • Click on Create an Event.

STEP 3: Enter Event Details

When creating an event, you will need to provide the following details:

  • Title – Name of the event
  • Description – Brief overview of the event
  • Agenda – Key topics or schedule
  • Time and Date – Specify when the event will take place
  • Duration – Estimated length of the event
  • Location – Select an online or in-person venue (If online, a Vygo video room will be created automatically)
  • Broadcast Mode – Choose whether only the host can broadcast audio/video/screen-share, or if all participants can

STEP 4: Submit Your Event

  • Once all required details are filled in, click Create Event.

STEP 5: Event Invitations Sent

  • After processing, all students within the program will receive an invitation to Attend or Not Attend.

Managing and Editing Events

As a Program Manager, you can modify event details at any time. To update an event:

  1. Navigate to the event card.
  2. Click Update Event to make necessary changes.

If a mentor needs to update an event, they must request changes through the Program Manager.
