How to Configure Private Session Settings in Your Program
Private sessions on the Vygo platform enable one-on-one support between two users—typically a supporter and a student (referred to as a “member” in Vygo). As a Program Admin, you can customise how these sessions are set up and booked within your program.
Booking Methods
Vygo offers two types of session booking flows. You can enable either or both options simultaneously, depending on how you want students to interact with supporters.
1. Book With a User
Students can view individual supporter profiles, browse their availability, and book sessions directly based on times that work for both parties.
2. Book By Availability
Students can search session availability based on location and time, without choosing a specific supporter. The platform will automatically match them with an available supporter who fits their criteria.
Accessing Session Settings
To begin configuring session options:
- Go to your Program Settings.
- Select the Sessions tab.
Within the Sessions settings, you’ll find several configuration options:
- Toggle Booking Types: Enable or disable “Book With a User” and “Book By Availability” to control how students schedule sessions.

Session Logging: Allow supporters and admins to log sessions that have already occurred, up to 30 days in the past. This is useful for retrospective logging—such as for on-campus drop-in sessions—provided the student has a Vygo account and is part of the program.
Session Duration: Set minimum and maximum duration limits for each session.
Session Locations:
- Vygo Video Room: Vygo’s built-in video call feature.
- External Video Room: Use third-party links such as Zoom, Teams, or Skype.
- In-Person: If organisation locations have been set up and linked to supporters’ availability, students can choose in-person support options based on these predefined locations.
These settings allow your program to deliver flexible and efficient support while capturing accurate usage data.
