How Users Discover & Register for Events

Vygo makes it easy for users to discover upcoming events, register to attend, and manage their event participation.

Finding events

Users can browse available events through the Events page.

The Events page includes:

A searchable event list
Event categories
Filters for event type and location
Visual event cards with key information

Users can filter events to quickly find relevant opportunities, such as online events, workshops, networking sessions, or social events.

Event visibility

The events a user can see depends on the event audience settings.

Public events: Public events are visible to all users on the platform.

Program-only events: Program-only events are visible to users within a specific program. Users may need to join the program before they can register for or attend the event.

Private events: Private events are only visible to selected users based on program criteria.

Event registration

Users can register for events directly within the platform.

Registering for an event

Navigate to the Events page
Select an event
Review the event details
Complete any registration questions (if required)
Click Register

Once registered, users may also have the option to add the event to their calendar.

External events

Some events may use an external registration process.

These events display a Visit Event button instead of an in-platform registration option.

Selecting this button will redirect users to an external registration page, such as Zoom or a university event system.

Dashboard event visibility

A user’s dashboard will only display events they have registered for.

This helps keep dashboards focused on upcoming events that are most relevant to the user.

Calendar integration

If calendar integration is enabled, registered events may automatically appear in the user’s connected calendar. This helps users keep track of upcoming sessions and reminders.
