What Is the Admin Insights & Exports Dashboard?
Insights & Exports is where admins go to see engagement metrics, trends and data exports for their organisation and their programs, all in one place. You'll find it under Admin in the left-hand menu.
It replaces the separate organisation and per-program insights pages, adds metrics that weren't previously available, and applies stricter definitions to the numbers you already relied on.
Why use Insights & Exports?
The dashboard is built for admins who need to understand and report on engagement.
- Organisation and program views in one place: Look across every program, then drop into a single program, without changing pages
- Proof of impact: New metrics for chat views, message reactions, and resource views and downloads show engagement that previously went unmeasured
- Consistent numbers: Everyone in your organisation sees the same figures, because data is now counted in your organisation's timezone rather than the viewer's
- Trends at a glance: Every metric shows a trend line, and vs Previous Year overlays the same period a year earlier
- Exports alongside the metrics: The reports you already download now sit with the dashboard rather than somewhere separate
What's in it?
The left-hand panel groups everything into three sections.
- Insights: Organisation for cross-program metrics, and Programs is an aggregate view or all programs or can be filtered for a single program at a time
- AI Insights: Summaries and Chat insights, the AI-generated reports
- Exports: Organisation and Programs, for downloading your data
Who can see what?
What appears in the left-hand panel depends on your role.
- Owners see both Organisation and Programs under Insights and under Exports.
- Program Admins and Support Admins see Programs only, limited to the programs they're assigned to. The Organisation views are not available to them.
What's changed in how activity is measured from previous dashboards:
The dashboard is more specific about what it counts than the pages it replaces, so some figures will look different from numbers you've seen before.
- Chat metrics count conversation between people. Automated notices, such as "session created" banners and auto-connect messages, sit outside the message and sender counts.
- Activity is counted in your organisation's timezone. Everyone on your team sees the same figures, wherever they happen to be working.
- Organisation figures cover your active programs, so activity in archived programs sits outside the totals.
- Members and supporters are counted separately, showing who is still joined at the end of the selected period rather than a combined total.
- Event chat activity now appears. It wasn't previously reported.
Where do I find it?
