How to Set Up Recurring Events

Recurring Events allow admins to create a series of events that repeat over time, such as weekly mentoring sessions, regular workshops, or ongoing check-ins.

This helps reduce manual setup by allowing multiple events to be managed as part of a recurring schedule.

Who can create Recurring Events?

Recurring Events can only be created by admins.

Supporters cannot create Recurring Events.

When should Recurring Events be used?

Recurring Events are ideal for programs that run sessions on a regular schedule, such as:

Admins can configure how often the event repeats.

Depending on the event setup, recurrence options may include:

  • Daily
  • Weekly
  • Bi-weekly
  • Monthly
  • Custom schedules

Managing Recurring Events

Once published, recurring events can be managed similarly to standard events.

Admins can:

  • Edit event details
  • Manage attendees
  • Review engagement and feedback
  • Update future occurrences in the series

Changes made to a recurring event may apply to:

  • A single occurrence
  • Future occurrences only
  • The entire series

Audience and visibility

Recurring Events use the same audience settings as standard events:

  • Public
  • Program-only
  • Private

This allows admins to control who can discover and attend recurring sessions.

Tips

  • Use recurring events for consistent, ongoing activities
  • Choose clear titles so users can easily identify repeated sessions
  • Review recurrence settings carefully before publishing
  • Keep event descriptions updated if session details change over time

Recurring Events help streamline event management and make it easier to maintain ongoing engagement within programs.
